Frequently asked questions
How do I remove GST from an amount?
Divide by (1 + rate/100). For ₹1,180 at 18%, the amount before GST is ₹1,000 and GST is ₹180.
What is CGST and SGST?
For a sale within one state, GST is split equally between the central (CGST) and state (SGST) government. Between states, the whole amount is IGST.
