How to use Audio Studio

About this tool
Audio Studio combines three tools in one pass. Tick Remove noise to reduce hiss, hum and room noise; Studio Quality for gentle EQ, warmth, de-essing and compression; and Increase loudness to bring the result to a consistent level (about -16 LUFS for voice, -14 LUFS for music) with a -1 dBTP peak ceiling. Use any one option or combine them. The optional Wide sound setting adds subtle stereo width that still sounds right on a single phone speaker. Processing runs on our server, so it is light on your phone. Results depend on the recording; compare before and after.
Good to know
- Heavy echo, distortion and overlapping voices cannot be fully fixed.
- Wide sound is stereo widening, not real surround sound.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use only one option?
Yes. Tick any one option or any combination. At least one of Remove noise, Studio Quality or Increase loudness is needed.
Will it make the audio distort?
No. Loudness is set once, then a single true-peak limiter keeps peaks at or below -1 dBTP.
What does Wide sound do?
It adds gentle stereo width. The left and right channels still add up to the original, so the result plays correctly on a mono speaker.
Which file formats does Audio Studio support?
You can add MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC, OPUS and download the result as MP3, WAV. Add one file at a time. The file-size limit for this tool is 50 MB.
Is Audio Studio private?
Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection and processed in a private temporary folder on our server. The uploaded file and the result are deleted from the server as soon as processing finishes — whether it succeeds or fails — and the result is sent straight to your browser. If an upload is interrupted part-way, its temporary data is removed automatically within about 30 minutes. We do not keep copies.
