About this tool
A PDF opens the same way on every phone and computer, so it is the safest way to send a deck to clients or print it. Upload a .pptx or .ppt file and our server converts it with LibreOffice Impress, one slide per page with text, shapes and images in place. The upload and the PDF are deleted from the server as soon as the conversion finishes.
Good to know
- Animations, transitions, audio and video are not carried into the PDF.
- Missing fonts are substituted with similar ones.
- Presentations that link to pictures or videos stored elsewhere are refused; embed them first.
- Password-protected files are not supported.
Frequently asked questions
Will my slides look exactly the same?
Usually very close. LibreOffice renders PowerPoint files faithfully, but fonts that are not embedded may be replaced with similar ones, and animations, transitions and videos cannot be shown in a PDF.
Is my presentation stored?
No. It is processed in a private temporary folder that is deleted right after the conversion.
Are speaker notes included?
No. The PDF contains the slides only.
Can it convert password-protected files?
No. Remove the password in PowerPoint first.
Is PowerPoint to PDF private?
Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection and processed in a private temporary folder on our server. The uploaded file and the result are deleted from the server as soon as processing finishes — whether it succeeds or fails — and the result is sent straight to your browser. If an upload is interrupted part-way, its temporary data is removed automatically within about 30 minutes. We do not keep copies.
