About this tool
iPhones save photos as HEIC, which many Windows apps, websites and upload forms do not accept. This converter decodes HEIC and HEIF photos on your device — using the browser's own decoder where available (Safari) or an open-source libheif decoder otherwise — and saves them as JPG at the quality you choose. Convert up to 20 photos at once and download them individually or as a ZIP.
Good to know
- EXIF metadata is not copied.
- Multi-image HEIC files: only the main image is converted.
- Very large photos can be slow on older phones.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. They are decoded in your browser.
Is location data kept?
No. EXIF metadata such as location and camera details is not copied to the JPG, which is often what you want when sharing.
What about Live Photos or bursts?
Only the main still image is converted. The video part of a Live Photo is a separate file and is not included.
Is HEIC to JPG private?
Yes. This tool processes files entirely in your browser, so your files are not uploaded to our servers.
