About this tool
Base64 data URIs let you embed small images directly in HTML, CSS, JSON or email templates without a separate file. Add an image and get the data URI, the raw Base64 string, an <img> tag and a CSS background rule, each with a copy button, plus a .txt download. Encoding happens in your browser.
Good to know
- Base64 output is about one third larger than the original image.
- Very long strings are shown shortened on screen; copy or download for the full value.
