About this tool

Add one or more images and the tool recognises the text in your browser with Tesseract OCR, then writes it into a .docx file — one page per image, optionally with the original picture above its text so you can compare. Nothing is uploaded. The OCR engine and language data download once on first use.

Frequently asked questions
Which languages are supported?
English and Hindi. Other scripts, such as Urdu, are not recognised yet.
How accurate is it?
It depends on the photo. Sharp, well-lit, straight printed text works well; blurry, skewed, handwritten or decorative text gives weaker results. Always proofread.
Is the layout recreated?
No. The text is written as plain paragraphs. Tables, columns and fonts are not rebuilt.
Is Image to Word private?
Yes. This tool processes files entirely in your browser, so your files are not uploaded to our servers.
