About this tool

Share spreadsheet data as a PDF that anyone can open. The converter reads the values from each sheet of an .xlsx workbook and lays them out as tables on A4 pages, in landscape or portrait, with optional gridlines and a header row that repeats on every page. Wide sheets are split into column groups so nothing is cut off. It reproduces the data, not Excel's exact formatting.

Good to know

  • Values only: styling, merged cells, charts and images are not converted.
  • Only .xlsx files (not .xls).
  • The built-in PDF font does not include scripts such as Devanagari or Chinese.

Frequently asked questions

Does it keep colours, fonts and merged cells?

No. It converts cell values into clean tables. Formatting, merged cells, charts and images are not reproduced. Formulas show their last calculated values.

Are older .xls files supported?

No. Open the file in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice and save it as .xlsx first.

How are dates shown?

Cells formatted as dates are shown as YYYY-MM-DD (with time when present).

Is Excel to PDF private?

Yes. This tool processes files entirely in your browser, so your files are not uploaded to our servers.
