About this tool
Need an EPS for a print shop or an older design program? This tool converts PNG images to EPS (PostScript Level 3) and stores every pixel losslessly with Flate compression. EPS has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background colour you choose. The image stays a raster picture inside the EPS (it is not traced into vectors), sized at 1 pixel per point.

Frequently asked questions
Is transparency kept?
No. Raster images in EPS cannot be transparent, so transparent pixels are blended onto the background colour you choose (white by default).
Does it become vector artwork?
No. The PNG is stored as a picture inside the EPS. For a logo you want to scale indefinitely, you need the original vector file or a tracing tool.
Is PNG to EPS private?
Yes. This tool processes files entirely in your browser, so your files are not uploaded to our servers.
