About this tool
Remove the dead air before and after a recording, or keep just the highlight of a longer clip. Enter start and end times in seconds. Frame-accurate mode re-encodes to H.264 MP4 so the cut lands exactly where you asked; fast mode copies the streams without re-encoding, which is quicker and lossless but starts at the nearest keyframe.
Frequently asked questions
Why does fast mode start slightly early?
Without re-encoding, a video can only start on a keyframe, which may be up to a few seconds before your start time. Use frame-accurate mode for exact cuts.
Is the audio kept?
Yes, the audio is trimmed together with the video.
Is Video Trimmer private?
Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection and processed in a private temporary folder on our server. The uploaded file and the result are deleted from the server as soon as processing finishes — whether it succeeds or fails — and the result is sent straight to your browser. If an upload is interrupted part-way, its temporary data is removed automatically within about 30 minutes. We do not keep copies.
